The Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) football defeated the visiting Colfax Falcons (Colfax, CA), 28-6 in Saturday's league bout.

In their next game, the Pirates face the Marysville Indians (Marysville, CA) in a bout, on Friday, October 13. Wheatland will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Indians enter the bout with a 7-0 record after their 34-14 league win over Bear River (Grass Valley, CA).
