Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Mater Dei Knights (Breese, IL), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles confront the Triad Knights (Troy, IL) in a Mississippi Valley challenge, on Tuesday, October 10. Civic Memorial will attempt to better on its 14-7 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 16-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to St. Louis University (St. Louis, MO).

The Knights now have a 4-15 record.
