Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Valley Regional Warriors (Deep River, CT), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT) in a Central Connecticut - Central challenge, on Wednesday, October 11. Maloney will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 2-2 league Bloomfield (Bloomfield, CT).

The Warriors now have a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westbrook for a Shoreline challenge on Tuesday, October 10. Valley Regional will confront a Knights team coming off a 1-1 non-league Amistad (New Haven, CT). The Knights record now stands at 2-4.
