Marist RedHawks (Chicago, IL) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Nazareth Academy Roadrunners (LaGrange Park, IL), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the RedHawks face the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 9. Marist will attempt to better on its 5-12 season record. The Astros enter the challenge with a 12-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL).

The Roadrunners now have a 4-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to DePaul College Prep for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 10. Nazareth Academy will face a Rams team coming off a 2-2 non-league Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL). The Rams record now stands at 8-5.
