Bremen Blue Devils (Bremen, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 20-7 record. They take the field next when they host LaFayette for a 3A Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, October 10. Bremen will battle a Ramblers squad coming off a 9-5 non-league win over Calhoun (Calhoun, GA). The Ramblers record now stands at 17-5.

With the loss, Cairo falls to 15-8 on the campaign. The Syrupmakers travel to Cook (Adel, GA) to battle the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 10. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 25-1. Cook won 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Worth County (Sylvester, GA)
