Oregon High School Volleyball - Monroe can't hold off Gaston

In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Gaston Greyhounds volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Monroe Dragons.
The Greyhounds (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Knappa (Astoria, OR). The Loggers come into the 2A Northwest battle with a 6-11 record. In their last battle, Knappa was edged by Nestucca (Cloverdale, OR), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Dragons clash with the Central Linn Cobras (Halsey, OR) in a 2A Valley Coast battle, on Tuesday, October 10. Monroe will attempt to advance on its 9-11 season record. The Cobras come into the battle with a 4-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to Oakridge (Oakridge, OR).
