In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Sigourney Savages volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Highland Huskies.
The Savages (14-7) will now prepare for their battle against Tri-County (Thornburg, IA). The Trojans come into the South Iowa Cedar battle with a 1-17 record. In their last battle, Tri-County lost by Washington (Washington, IA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Huskies clash with the Washington Demons (Washington, IA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 7. Highland will attempt to advance on its 7-12 season record. The Demons come into the battle with a 10-14 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Keokuk (Keokuk, IA).
