The Pine Island Panthers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host St. Anthony Village Huskies to 0 in the Panthers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Panthers now have a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waterville-Elysian-Morristown for a non-league game on Sunday, October 8. Pine Island will meet a Buccaneers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN). The Buccaneers record now stands at 18-6.
The Huskies (8-12) will now prepare for their game against Mahtomedi (Mahtomedi, MN). The Zephyrs enter the non-league game with a 11-9 record. In their last game, Mahtomedi gained a win over North (North St. Paul, MN), 3-0, in a league game.
