The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Vinton Lions (Vinton, LA) and the host Port Barre Red Devils (Port Barre, LA), saw Vinton's volleyball squad beat Port Barre by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Vinton upgrades its record to 12-9 on the year. The Lions travel to Washington-Marion (Lake Charles, LA) to play the Charging Indians in a Division III District 2 bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Charging Indians go into the bout with a record of 3-13. Washington-Marion lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Jennings (Jennings, LA)

The Red Devils now own a 8-10 record. They play next when they host LaGrange for a non-league bout on Monday, October 9. Port Barre will play a Gators squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Washington-Marion (Lake Charles, LA). The Gators record now stands at 11-6.
