River Ridge Hawks (Lacey, WA) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they saw their football team tip the host Lakes Lancers (Lakewood, WA), 36-35 in a league battle.

The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 0-2. Capital lost 28-14 in their recent league battle against Timberline (Lacey, WA)

The Lancers now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Peninsula for a battle on Monday, October 14. Lakes will play a Seahawks team coming off a 36-0 non-league loss to Gig Harbor (Gig Harbor, WA). The Seahawks record now stands at 0-1.
