The Chewelah Cougars football squad scored 21 points and limited the host Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna Broncos to 20 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

The Cougars now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Northwest Christian School for a non-league test on Monday, October 14. Chewelah will meet a Crusaders squad coming off a 34-0 non-league win over Newport (Newport, WA). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Warden (Warden, WA) to meet the Cougars in a non-league test on Monday, October 14. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 0-4. Warden lost 28-6 in their recent non-league test against River View (Kennewick, WA)
