The Meridian/Sangamon Valley Hawks soccer squad scored 6 points and held the visiting Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon Knights to 3 in the Hawks non-league victory on Monday.

The Hawks now possess a 8-10 record. They play next when they travel to St. Teresa for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 8. Meridian/Sangamon Valley will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-12.

With the loss, Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon moves to 2-7 on the year. The Knights travel to Fisher/Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Fisher, IL) to play the Bunnies in a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 9.
