The Cougars (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cardinals enter the non-league battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, Union Academy by Central Academy (Monroe, NC), 4-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Spartans battle the SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles (Huntersville, NC) in a NCISAA Metrolina battle, on Tuesday, October 8. Gaston Day will attempt to upgrade on its 12-3 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 4-8 record after their 4-3 league win over Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC).
