Fans at Monday's league battle between the Central Cambria Red Devils (Ebensburg, PA) and the visiting Chestnut Ridge Lions (New Paris, PA), saw Central Cambria's soccer squad hold off Chestnut Ridge by a count of 3-2.

The Red Devils (3-11) will now prepare for their battle against Greater Johnstown (Johnstown, PA). The Trojans enter the Laurel Highlands 1 battle with a 2-12 record. In their last battle, Greater Johnstown was edged by Somerset (Somerset, PA), 9-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Lions battle the Forest Hills Rangers (Sidman, PA) in a Laurel Highlands 1 battle, on Wednesday, October 9. Chestnut Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Rangers enter the battle with a 10-2 record after their 2-1 league win over Bishop Carroll (Ebensburg, PA).
