Fans at Monday's league battle between the Marathon Olympians (Marathon, NY) and the host Dryden Lions (Dryden, NY), saw Marathon's soccer squad hold off Dryden by a count of 2-1.

The Olympians (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against Moravia (Moravia, NY). The Blue Devils enter the Interscholastic Athletic Conference (IAC) battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Moravia was edged by Southern Cayuga (Poplar Ridge, NY), 18-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Lions battle the Charles O. Dickerson Blue Raiders (Trumansburg, NY) in a Interscholastic Athletic Conference (IAC) battle, on Wednesday, October 9. Dryden will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Blue Raiders enter the battle with a 7-3 record after their 1-0 league loss to Notre Dame (Elmira, NY).
