The Marshall Owls softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Clinton Cardinals to 0 in the Owls non-league win on Monday.

The Owls now sport a 13-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moberly for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 10. Marshall will confront a Spartans team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Westran (Huntsville, MO). The Spartans record now stands at 8-17.

With the loss, Clinton moves to 6-17 on the season. The Cardinals host Harrisonville (Harrisonville, MO) to confront the Wildcats in a Class 3 District 14 battle on Tuesday, October 8. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 5-15. Harrisonville won 11-10 in their recent non-league battle against Sherwood (Creighton, MO)
