The Northwest Lions the host Parkway West Longhorns softball squad by a count of 7-3 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions play the Eureka Wildcats (Eureka, MO) in a Class 4 District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, October 8. Northwest will attempt to upgrade on its 23-10 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 10-12 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Parkway West (Ballwin, MO).

The Longhorns (14-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Rockwood Summit (Fenton, MO). The Falcons enter the Class 4 District 3 challenge with a 20-8 record. In their last challenge, Rockwood Summit was routed by Neelyville (Neelyville, MO), 7-2, in a non-league challenge.
