In Monday's league match, the Monmouth United Red Storm (Monmouth, IL) volleyball squad overcame the host Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL), by a count of 2-0.

Next up, the Red Storm battle the Annawan Braves/Bravettes (Annawan, IL) in a Lincoln Trail match, on Tuesday, October 8. Monmouth United will attempt to move on its 11-11 season record. The Braves/Bravettes enter the match with a 9-10 record after their 2-1 league win over Stark County (Toulon, IL).
