The Southwestern Piasa Birds prevailed the visiting Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Monday's non-league game.

Next up, the Piasa Birds confront the Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, October 8. Southwestern will attempt to advance on its 8-13 season record. The Lancers enter the game with a 22-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL).

The Tigers (16-13) will now prepare for their game against Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL). The Hornets enter the Western Illinois Valley game with a 9-14 record. In their last game, Brown County gained a win over Astoria/VIT (Astoria, IL), 2-0, in a non-league game.
