The Braves (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hickory (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks enter the Southeastern contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Hickory notched a victory over King's Fork (Suffolk, VA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Cavaliers encounter the King's Fork Bulldogs (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern battle, on Thursday, October 9. Lakeland will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a 7-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA).
