Schurr Spartans (Montebello, CA) followers went home pleased Tuesday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Mark Keppel Aztecs (Alhambra, CA), 2-0 in a league match.
The Spartans (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Burroughs (Burbank, CA). The Bears enter the non-league match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Burroughs was nudged by Dorsey (Los Angeles, CA), 37-0, in a non-league battle.
The Aztecs now own a 0-1 record.
