The Golden Gophers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Gardendale (Gardendale, AL). The Rockets enter the contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Gardendale beat Ramsay (Birmingham, AL), 12-6, in a non-league bout.

The Spartans now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Homewood for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 7. Mountain Brook will encounter a Patriots team coming off a 32-6 non-league win over Paul W. Bryant (Cottondale, AL). The Patriots record now stands at 2-1.
