In Tuesday's non-league outing, the visiting Manchester Valley Mavericks soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Westminster Owls.
The Mavericks (3-4) will now prepare for their outing against Century (Sykesville, MD). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, Century got by Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Owls now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Francis Scott Key for a non-league test on Thursday, October 9. Westminster will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Century (Sykesville, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 3-5.
