Georgia High School Softball - Pierce County edges Emanuel County Institute

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) and the host Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs (Twin City, GA), observed Pierce County's softball team get by Emanuel County Institute by a tally of 3-1.

The Bears (18-8) will now prepare for their contest against Wilcox County (Rochelle, GA). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Wilcox County by West Laurens (Dexter, GA), 11-5, in a non-league contest.

The Bulldogs now hold a 21-4 record. They play next when they travel to Appling County for a non-league contest on Thursday, October 9. Emanuel County Institute will battle a Pirates team coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Bacon County (Alma, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 14-4.
