Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the St. Croix Central Panthers (Hammond, WI) and the host Ellsworth Panthers (Ellsworth, WI), observed St. Croix Central's volleyball team top Ellsworth by a count of 3-1.

The Panthers (13-16) will now prepare for their contest against Altoona (Altoona, WI). The Railroaders enter the Middle Border contest with a 13-19 record. In their last battle, Altoona dropped by Unity (Balsam Lake, WI), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Panthers now own a 7-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prescott for a Middle Border battle on Thursday, October 9. Ellsworth will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Webster (Webster, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-15.
