Illinois High School Volleyball - Gillespie can't hold off Mt. Olive

October 7, 2025: Gillespie, IL 62033

In Tuesday's non-league match, the Mt. Olive Wildcats (Mt. Olive, IL) volleyball squad tipped the host Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL), by a final score of 2-1.

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL) in a MSM match, on Tuesday, October 14. Mt. Olive will attempt to better on its 8-11 season record. The Lancers come into the bout with a 14-13 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Southwestern (Piasa, IL).

With the loss, Gillespie drops to 7-15 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL) to clash with the Hiltoppers in a South Central bout on Thursday, October 9. The Hiltoppers come into the bout with a record of 17-8. Hillsboro won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL)
