Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN) and the visiting Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles (Lake Station, IN), saw South Newton's volleyball squad notch a victory over Lake Station Edison by a score of 3-0.

With the win, South Newton improves its record to 16-10 on the season. The Rebels travel to Twin Lakes (Monticello, IN) to encounter the Indians in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 9. The Indians go into the battle with a record of 12-15. Twin Lakes won 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against Lafayette Jefferson (Lafayette, IN)

The Fighting Eagles now own a 6-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hammond Central for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 9. Lake Station Edison will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Hobart (Hobart, IN). The Wolves record now stands at 14-12.
