The Centennial Chargers (Champaign, IL) football defeated the host Peoria Notre Dame Irish (Peoria, IL), 28-20 in Saturday's league bout.
In their next game, the Chargers face the Collinsville Kahoks (Collinsville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 14. Centennial will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Kahoks enter the bout with a 6-1 record after their 34-7 non-league win over Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL).
The Irish (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Normal Community (Normal, IL). The Ironmen enter the Big Twelve bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, Normal Community defeated Dohn Community (Cincinnati, OH), 47-26, in a non-league bout.
