In Saturday's league match, the visiting St. Augustine Purple Knights football squad scored a good 42-20 victory over the Holy Cross Tigers.
In their next game, the Purple Knights clash with the Archbishop Rummel Raiders (Metairie, LA) in a 5A District 9 match, on Saturday, October 15. St. Augustine will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Raiders enter the match with a 4-2 record after their 36-0 league loss to John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA).
The Tigers (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA). The Crusaders enter the 5A District 9 match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Brother Martin ran past Jesuit (New Orleans, LA), 7-3, in a league match.
