The Mt. Baker Mountaineers football team (Deming, WA), was tipped 26-25 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting La Center Wildcats (La Center, WA)
The Wildcats (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Seton Catholic (Vancouver, WA). The Cougars come into the 1A Trico challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Seton Catholic was tipped by Castle Rock (Castle Rock, WA), 29-6, in a league challenge.
The Mountaineers now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Nooksack Valley for a 1A Northwest challenge on Friday, October 14. Mt. Baker will meet a Pioneers team coming off a 30-7 league loss to Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA). The Pioneers record now stands at 5-1.
