The Newark Yellowjackets football team (Newark, DE), was knocked off 53-24 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Lake Forest Spartans (Felton, DE)
The Spartans (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Delmar (Delmar, DE). The Wildcats come into the 2A District 3 challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Delmar was knocked off by Cape Henlopen (Lewes, DE), 42-14, in a non-league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Conrad Science for a 2A District 1 challenge on Saturday, October 15. Newark will meet a Red Wolves team coming off a 48-28 non-league win over Christiana (Newark, DE). The Red Wolves record now stands at 1-4.
