New Mexico High School Football - Santa Rosa trounces McCurdy

In Saturday's league match, the visiting Santa Rosa Lions football squad scored a big 61-6 victory over the McCurdy Bobcats.

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Laguna Acoma Hawks (New Laguna, NM) in a 2A District 1/2/5 match, on Friday, October 14. Santa Rosa will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 3-5 record after their 22-14 league loss to Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM).

The Bobcats (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM). The Lobos enter the 2A District 1/2/5 match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Escalante routed Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM), 22-14, in a league match.
