Salem Quakers (Salem, OH) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Quakers confront the Chagrin Falls Tigers (Chagrin Falls, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 12. Salem will attempt to better on its 11-2 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 1-1 non-league West Branch (Beloit, OH).

The Spartans now have a 4-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harding for a All-American challenge on Monday, October 10. Boardman will confront a Raiders team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Canfield (Canfield, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 3-10.
