The Mayfield Wildcats held off the host Westlake Demons soccer squad by a margin of 4-3 in Saturday's non-league match.
The Wildcats now sport a 10-5 record. They play next when they host North for a Western Reserve match on Tuesday, October 11. Mayfield will encounter a Rangers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Andrews Osborne Academy (Willoughby, OH). The Rangers record now stands at 7-6.
With the loss, Westlake drops to 9-5 on the season. The Demons travel to Bay (Bay Village, OH) to encounter the Rockets in a Great Lakes match on Wednesday, October 12.
