The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Whitney Wildcats (Cerritos, CA) and the visiting Banning Pilots (Wilmington, CA), saw Whitney's volleyball squad nip Banning by a tally of 1-0.

With the win, Whitney upgrades its record to 4-3 on the year.

The Pilots now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Carson for a bout on Tuesday, October 11. Banning will play a Colts squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Gardena (Gardena, CA). The Colts record now stands at 5-8.
