In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Dunlap Eagles soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Peoria Christian Chargers.
The Eagles (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Metamora (Metamora, IL). The Redbirds come into the Mid-Illini battle with a 5-10 record. In their last bout, Metamora was nipped by Roanoke-Benson/Eureka (Eureka, IL), 4-0, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Chargers battle the Illini Bluffs Tigers (Glasford, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, October 11. Peoria Christian will attempt to move on its 16-4 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL).
