Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Valley Regional Warriors (Deep River, CT), 3-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders confront the Morgan Huskies (Clinton, CT) in a Shoreline challenge, on Monday, October 10. Portland will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 2-2 non-league East Lyme (East Lyme, CT).

The Warriors now have a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they host Old Lyme for a Shoreline challenge on Tuesday, October 11. Valley Regional will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 5-0 league win over Hale Ray (Moodus, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-4.
