In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Illini West Chargers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes.

The Chargers (24-6) will now prepare for their battle against Canton (Canton, IL). The Little Giants come into the non-league battle with a 6-17 record. In their last battle, Canton lost by Metamora (Metamora, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Tornadoes clash with the Monmouth United Red Storm (Monmouth, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 8. Abingdon/Avon will attempt to advance on its 4-15 season record. The Red Storm come into the battle with a 11-9 record after their 2-0 league win over Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL).
