Atchison County Tigers (Effingham, KS) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Atchison Phoenix (Atchison, KS), 2-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Pleasant Ridge Rams (Easton, KS) in a Northeast Kansas League match, on Tuesday, October 11. Atchison County will attempt to advance on its 13-16 season record. The Rams come into the match with a 21-10 record after their 2-0 league loss to Jefferson County North (Winchester, KS).

With the loss, Atchison drops to 2-13 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Piper (Kansas City, KS) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league match on Monday, October 10. The Pirates come into the match with a record of 15-12. Piper lost 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Seaman (Topeka, KS)
