In Saturday's non-league contest, the Mountain Crest Mustangs (Hyrum, UT) volleyball squad nudged the host Burley Bobcats (Burley, ID), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Mustangs face the Woods Cross Wildcats (Woods Cross, UT) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 8. Mountain Crest will attempt to better on its 9-17 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 7-13 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Layton (Layton, UT).

With the loss, Burley moves to 8-10 on the year. The Bobcats host Minico (Rupert, ID) to face the Spartans in a 4A Great Basin - West contest on Tuesday, October 11. The Spartans go into the contest with a record of 4-9.
