The Lexington Minutemen volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Cissna Park Timberwolves to 1 in the Minutemen non-league victory on Saturday.

The Minutemen now possess a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monticello for a non-league game on Saturday, October 8. Lexington will meet a Sages team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Sages record now stands at 7-14.

The Timberwolves (21-4) will now prepare for their game against Schlarman (Danville, IL). The Hilltoppers enter the Vermilion Valley game with a 0-13 record. In their last game, Schlarman was nudged by Iroquois West (Gilman, IL), 2-0, in a league game.
