The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Freeburg Midgets (Freeburg, IL) and the visiting Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL), saw Freeburg's volleyball squad beat Springfield by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Freeburg upgrades its record to 20-5 on the year. The Midgets travel to Breese Central (Breese, IL) to play the Cougars in a Cahokia (Mississippi Division) bout on Tuesday, October 11. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 18-8. Breese Central won 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Champaign Central (Champaign, IL)

The Senators now own a 21-9 record. They play next when they travel to Glenwood for a Central State Eight bout on Tuesday, October 11. Springfield will play a Titans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL). The Titans record now stands at 15-15.
