With the win, Gardner-Edgerton upgrades its record to 12-18 on the year. The Trailblazers host Lawrence Free State (Lawrence, KS) to play the Firebirds in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 8. The Firebirds go into the bout with a record of 17-11. Lawrence Free State won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Shawnee Mission West (Shawnee Mission, KS)

The Bluejays now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they travel to Kearney for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 8. Raytown will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Excelsior Springs (Excelsior Springs, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-10.
