The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Hartsburg-Emden Stags (Hartsburg, IL) and the host St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL), saw Hartsburg-Emden's volleyball squad beat St. Joseph-Ogden by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Hartsburg-Emden upgrades its record to 18-9 on the year. The Stags travel to Lutheran (Springfield, IL) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 11. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 27-2. Lutheran won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL)

The Spartans now own a 19-7 record. They play next when they travel to Prairie Central for a Illini Prairie bout on Tuesday, October 11. St. Joseph-Ogden will play a Hawks squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Rantoul (Rantoul, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 12-13.
