Wisconsin High School Volleyball - Pius XI Catholic can't hold off Luther Prep

In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Luther Prep Phoenix volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Pius XI Catholic Popes.

The Phoenix (23-9) will now prepare for their battle against Lodi (Lodi, WI). The Blue Devils come into the Capitol - North battle with a 8-24 record. In their last battle, Lodi was edged by Lake Mills (Lake Mills, WI), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Popes clash with the Shoreland Lutheran Pacers (Somers, WI) in a Metro Classic battle, on Saturday, October 8. Pius XI Catholic will attempt to advance on its 18-21 season record. The Pacers come into the battle with a 21-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Martin Luther (Greendale, WI).
