In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] Nordics volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds.

The Nordics (6-12) will now prepare for their battle against Goodridge/Grygla (Goodridge, MN). The Chargers come into the non-league battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Goodridge/Grygla went down by Kittson Central/Lancaster (Hallock, MN), 3-1, in a league battle.
