Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA) followers went home in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their flag football team tip the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 13-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Clarke Central advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Gladiators host Winder-Barrow (Winder, GA) to play the Bulldoggs in a D2 Area 7 battle on Tuesday, October 15. The Bulldoggs go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Winder-Barrow lost 19-7 in their recent non-league battle against Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA)

The Purple Hurricanes now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Newton for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 8.
