The Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Santa Rosa Christian to 0 in the Phoenix non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Phoenix now have a 13-10 record. They play next when they travel to JV Opponent for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 15.
With the loss, Santa Rosa Christian drops to 0-7 on the campaign.
Match Summary
Our JV squad was able to come into the refurbished SRCS gym and reverse last October's result, defeating the JV Eagles in two Sets! It was great teamwork tonight. Most of our first year players were included in tonight's JV rotation, with our more experienced players anchoring the rotation, while two newer players per set played front row. The team was able to stay steady and organized, passing extremely well and putting in an overall solid serving game. Our defense kept the JV Eagles from getting any serving runs, assisted by our 7 digs! I'm particularly proud of our girls' 88% overall ball handling and their organized substituting. Our girls did such a great job coming in and going out, once we got started, I hardly had to pay attention to our substitutions!
