In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Wheeling Park Patriots soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 win over the Marietta Tigers.
The Patriots (14-3) will now prepare for their match against Washington (Charles Town, WV). The Patriots come into the non-league match with a 9-5 record. In their last match, Washington nipped Musselman (Inwood, WV), 3-2, in a league match.
The Tigers now sport a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Athens for a non-league match on Thursday, October 10. Marietta will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Chillicothe (Chillicothe, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-4.
