In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Carroll Tigers volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Gilbert Tigers.

The Tigers (16-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA). The Bluejays enter the non-league challenge with a 12-14 record. In their last challenge, Bondurant-Farrar was beaten by A-D-M (Adel, IA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Roland-Story Norsemen (Story City, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 10. Gilbert will attempt to upgrade on its 9-13 season record. The Norsemen enter the challenge with a 20-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA).
